Serious accident on B58: Several injuries after collision!

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, there was a dramatic traffic accident on the B58, which demanded several seriously injured people. A 68-year-old driver from Moers collided with his Skoda Fabia while turning to Xantener Straße with a VW Polo, whose 25-year-old driver was eligible and came out of Geldern. The force of the impact hurled the Polo against a Hyundai i40 that was waiting at the intersection.

In the accident, the passenger suffered serious injuries in the Skoda, the Polo driver and the 52-year-old Hyundai driver. The 68-year-old driver from Moers was slightly injured. All those affected were immediately transported to surrounding clinics with ambulances. During the rescue and salvage work, the B58 remained partially closed until the evening, while the police redirected traffic.
