Serious accident in Berlstedt: E-scooter driver collides with a horse team

Berlstedt, Deutschland - A serious traffic accident occurred on May 3, 2025 in Berlstedt when a 16-year-old e-scooter driver collided with a horse team. The adolescent who wanted to turn left overlooked the approaching team and fell. The 16-year-old suffered serious injuries during the collision and had to be cared for in a emergency doctor. He was flown to a clinic with a rescue helicopter, luckily there is no danger to life.

The street between Berlstedt and Schwerstedt was completely closed for about an hour during the accident. The horse and the driver of the team remained unharmed.
