A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday evening in Erfurt when a 66-year-old driver crossed the Weimarische Strasse into the city at a intersection. He overlooked a 72-year-old cyclist who was crossing the road. The collision ended dramatically for the cyclist, who suffered serious injuries in the fall and had to be hospitalized for treatment.

Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but there was considerable damage to both vehicles of over 3,000 euros. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and warning for caution in road traffic.
