On Wednesday morning, a serious accident occurred in Heidelberg between a 54-year-old cyclist. She wanted to turn left from Jahnstraße to the Ernst Walz Bridge and disregarded both the prescribed traffic routing and the red light of the traffic light for left-hand bends.

At the same time, a 43-year-old driver bent into the intersection with green light, which led to a collision between the vehicle and the cyclist. The woman was seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital. First of all, the danger to life could not be excluded, but according to the latest information, this is no longer the case.
