On Tuesday afternoon, April 15, there was a serious traffic accident in Steinfurt. At 3:05 p.m., a 56-year-old Mazda driver from Münster collided with a 34-year-old man on his S-Pedelec at the intersection of Hanseller Strasse/Mestheide. After initial investigations, the woman, who wanted to continue in the direction of Altenberger Strasse, overlooked the cyclist who came from Greven.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. The Mazda driver, on the other hand, only suffered minor injuries. The total damage is estimated at around 5,500 euros. The police started the investigation into the course of the accident.
