A drastic traffic accident occurred on September 2, 2024 at 2:50 p.m. on the BAB 20 motorway, towards Lübeck, between the Neubrandenburg Ost and Neubrandenburg North junction. In this incident, a 79-year-old German driver was involved in a serious accident that not only put him in danger, but also other road users.

The pensioner who was traveling with his car tried to overtake other vehicles in a risky maneuver. He then switched to the right lane. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, this maneuver has a collision with a truck in front, which led to a chaotic scenario on the highway.
