In the afternoon of September 7, 2024, a serious traffic accident kept the emergency services in suspense. At 2:35 p.m., the fire brigades from Dotlingen and Neerstedt were alerted when a car on Wildeshauser Straße, between Neerstedt and Aschenstedt, came off the road and collided frontally with a tree.

What happened exactly before the accident is still unclear. However, the driver and his passenger were subsequently trapped in their badly damaged vehicle. In the impact, both had suffered visibly shock and were unable to leave the car independently. The image of the destroyed machine and the injured inmate was a worrying scenario. Seconds later, the first emergency services were already on site.

The firefighters reacted promptly and started all necessary measures to save the two people. Four members of the fire brigade worked in the team in a coordinated Effort. Modern hydraulic rescue devices, including scissors and spreiker, were used on both sides of the vehicle. These tools are designed to free trapped people quickly and effectively without causing additional damage.
