Serious traffic accident on L280: a trapped and several injuries!

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L280 near Niederfischbach around 4:45 p.m. Two vehicles collided head -on, which injured several people, and at least one person was trapped in their vehicle. The Niederfischbach volunteer fire brigade reacted quickly and was able to recover the trapped person quickly. There are currently reports of a slightly injured person and two seriously injured people.

The police have started an investigation into the course of the accident. The first indications indicate that disregard for the right of way led to the collision. The L280 is completely blocked for accident recording and recovery of the vehicles, while a detour by the road maintenance department was set up in cooperation with the fire brigade. The ambulance service is on site with three ambulances and two emergency doctors to provide medically care for the injured people.
