Serious traffic accident in Herford: passenger after crash injured

A serious accident occurred on Monday evening on Gaußstraße in Herford. A 66-year-old driver wanted to cross the intersection to Ahmser Straße when a 48-year-old driver with his BMW introduced the intersection in green light. The serious collision led to the Hyundai of the 66-year-old overturned and came to a standstill on the street.

The driver was slightly injured to the hospital, while his 69-year-old passenger was seriously injured and also had to be transported to a hospital. The amount of property damage is estimated at around 29,000 euros. The investigation by the HERFord police commissioner has been initiated.
