Serious traffic accident in Osnabrück: truck ignores red light!

Elbe Straße, Osnabrück, Deutschland - on Tuesday morning, around 7:00 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on Elbe Strasse. A 58-year-old truck driver ran over the red light at the intersection to Brückenstraße and collided with a Mercedes that came from the left. The 54-year-old driver of the Mercedes was seriously injured in the impact and had to be taken to the hospital immediately.

While the two occupants of the truck, the driver and his 22-year-old passenger, were unharmed, the Mercedes was no longer ready to drive after the accident and was removed by a towing company. The police are now investigating in the case and asks possible witnesses for clues.
