Focus control in Koblenz: Police take action against cyclists!

Rizzastraße / Ecke Südallee, Koblenz, Deutschland - The Koblenz 1 police inspection on May 21, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. carried out targeted control in downtown Koblenz in order to monitor the misconduct of cycling and e-scooter drivers in pedestrian zones. This was done in close cooperation with the regulatory office after there had been dangerous situations, especially on Rizzastraße/corner of Südallee. This intersection is closed due to construction work until August 5, 2025, which forces cyclists to be redirected.

The police found a total of nine violations of the traffic regulations by cyclists during the check. The relevant road users were held as responsible and sensitized to the importance of compliance with the traffic rules. The police would like to ensure that such dangerous situations between cyclists and pedestrians will be avoided in the future.
