A 70-year-old woman from Düren was victims of a brazen robbery on Tuesday afternoon (May 6th, 2025) on Rütger-von-Scheven-Straße. Around 12:47 p.m., an unknown perpetrator approached a bike and vigorously tore his handbag off the shoulder of the elderly. Then the robber fled towards the wooden bend park.

In the stolen bag were personal documents, around 30 euros cash and an Apple smartphone. Although the 70-year-old was unharmed in the incident, she was visibly shocked. After the attack, she immediately went to the Düren police station to file a complaint. The police started the investigation while the search for the fleeting continues.
