Safe roads for cyclists: New campaign Stay fair, keep your distance!

Kreis Mettmann, Deutschland - Under the urgent motto "Stay fair, keep your distance!" the district of Mettmann, the roundabout and the district police authority launched an alarming campaign to improve the consideration in road traffic. The focus is on the protection of cyclists - a particularly endangered clientele. The campaign is reminiscent of drivers to keep at least 1.50 meters in urban and even two meters away when overtaking. "Only together can we ensure safe cooperation in traffic," warns District Administrator Thomas Hendele.

In addition to the posters, the initiative is supported by a series of short films on social media that deal with important topics such as the use of bike paths, visibility in the dark and dealing with pedelecs. These materials are part of a comprehensive strategy to raise the awareness of the population of traffic safety.
