Safe road traffic: police control cyclists and e-scooters in Darmstadt

On Tuesday afternoon, the police in Darmstadt carried out impressive controls in Wilhelminenstrasse in order to strictly monitor the ban on passage for two -wheelers. Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., 37 people were the focus of the law enforcement officers, and the result was clear: 21 bicycle and e-scooter drivers had to pay a warfare because they were over the ban and were traveling in the pedestrian zone.

In addition to punishing violations, the police also relied on information and discussions with passers -by who performed the presence of the officials positively. The traffic guards call up all cyclists and scooter users for special consideration in order to ensure more safety in road traffic. The Hesse police emphasized that the protection of weaker road users has a top priority and announces further targeted controls in southern Hesse to prevent accidents and minimize the risk.
