Security on two wheels: traffic controls started in Neubrandenburg!

Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - Today, the kick -off event for the nationwide traffic safety campaign "Drive.Asen.leben!" took place. In May, two -wheelers in particular are the focus of the controls. The aim of the measures is to raise awareness of the dangers in road traffic, especially about the topic of bicycle helmets. The problem illustrates an impressive comparison: While 93 % of the cell phone owners protect their device, only 44 % of cyclists do this for their heads!

The campaign includes bicycle codes, helmet, reaction and bicycle simulators, which are provided by the local traffic watchdogs in Neubrandenburg, Neustrelitz and Ludwigslust. There are also advisors from the ADFC and a regional bicycle dealer. This month, comprehensive controls on the topic of "two-wheelers" will also be carried out in all eight police inspections from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to promote safer driving.
