Security controls in Darmstadt: Police discover risks in cafés!

On Thursday, May 8th, the 1st police station in cooperation with the riot police and the Darmstadt city police carried out extensive controls in the city center. A total of 151 people were checked between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. During a control of a 15-member group in Schleiermacherstraße, a united bicycle was secured-nobody could comment on the bike or provide evidence. The officials also found a separation grinder near a police -known man, the connection of which is still being determined to possible bicycle thefts.

In the evening hours, control shifted to Saalbaustraße, where a café was examined. There the law enforcement officers discovered several defects, including a missing emergency exit and illegal slot machines. These violations were immediately reported to the commercial office. It remains to be seen whether there are further measures such as an operating lesson, because the examination of the Situation is still ongoing.
