Secure your bike: free coding and tips in Hanover!

Hannover, Deutschland - The Hannover Limmer police start a free campaign for bicycle coding-a real protective shield against theft! From now on, cyclists can have their bikes marked with a special coding on three dates. This individual marking makes thieves more difficult to resale stolen wheels and increases the chance to quickly return the bike to its rightful owner.

The coding takes place in the following locations and times: on May 27, June 27 and August 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.-at the Hannover Limmer police commissioner, on Maschsee/Nordufer and at Davenstedter Markt. To participate, the participants need a completed PDF form, proof of ownership and a valid ID.
