Speed marathon in Heilbronn: thousands checked, 1,334 too fast!

In a spectacular commitment to traffic safety, the Europe -wide “Speedmarathon” took place yesterday, and the Heilbronn police headquarters was also active! At 41 checkpoints, the speed was measured at over 44,000 vehicles - and the result is alarming! A total of 1,334 drivers were too fast!

But that's not all: 33 of this racer now has to be banned from driving. Two road users were suspected of driving alcoholized while another drug was involved. In addition, the officials opened numerous violations of cell phone use as well as belt and helmet obligation- a total of 19 in number! The police use this campaign to sensitize travelers to the dangers of excessive speed. A clear appeal for more security on our streets!
