unforeseen events can lead to unexpected problems. This recently became clear in Hünxe when the crown of a tree endangered road traffic. The incident occurred on July 16, 2024 at 3:19 p.m. at the post office in Hünxe.
The Hünxe fire brigade was alerted to eliminate the storm damage. On site they found that not only the crown of the tree was damaged, but also the trunk was affected. In order to ensure the safety of road users, the emergency services decided to cut the tree. With the help of a chainsaw, the tree was crushed and stored on the side of the road.
After the road was released by leaves and branches, the operation was successfully completed after about an hour. The Drevenack firefighters were the alarmed units that fixed the damage and made the road secure again.
