On Thursday afternoon (May 22nd), civilian emergency services from the Cologne police caught a 24-year pickpockets in the popular Neumarkt Passage. The perpetrator, without a permanent residence and already for various ownership offenses, was arrested from the handbag of a 77-year-old Cologne native after the theft of a wallet.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. when the man struck the elderly woman and then fled towards Fleichmengasse. Thanks to a quick police persecution, it was caught a short time later. The alleged thief is demonstrated on the same day to a prison funnel, which heats up the expectations of his further legal persecution.
