Technical defect triggers devastating fire in horse stable!

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a devastating fire broke out in a horse stable in Nordenham, which took on catastrophic proportions. A technical defect in the electrical system is the cause of fire determined so far, which led to a massive use of around 110 firefighters from several surrounding communities. When the fire brigade arrived, the stable was already on fire and the fire quickly spread to an adjacent house. Despite all the efforts, both the stable and the house burned down to the foundations.

The property damage incurred is estimated at around 800,000 euros. Fortunately, the spread of the fire to a neighboring cattle stable could be prevented. The police confiscated the fire location and started the investigation into the exact cause of the fire.
