In a dramatic incident in Friedrichshain, there was an attack that the police called on the scene during the night. At around 1:50 a.m., an 18-year-old man stormed into a late purchase on Warsawer Straße, robbed several boxes of cigarettes and fled. The 34-year-old owner and his 41-year-old friend took up the persecution and recorded the perpetrator on Grünberger Strasse. What followed was a dangerous chaos: the alleged thief started pepper spray and injured the acquaintance with a knife in his thigh, while the two men also attacked him physically.

When the police arrived, the perpetrator threatened the knife. Despite an attempt to escape, he was arrested by the emergency services, throwing the knife away. During the transport, he defended himself violently, expressed threats to the police and made xenophobic comments. The 34-year-old suffered slight eye irritation, while the 41-year-old had to be treated because of his stab injury. Despite his complaints about pain, the young person remained without medical care.
