Fatal accident at Herzogenaurach: Two people die, many injured!

On Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the 2263 state road at Herzogenaurach with fatal consequences. A 37-year-old driver lost control of his citroen for an unknown cause and got into oncoming traffic. In the terrible crash, the driver and his 46-year-old passenger suffered fatal injuries, while three other road users sometimes wore life-threatening injuries.

The accident site was sealed off with several dozen emergency services from the fire brigade, numerous ambulances, emergency doctors and emergency pastors. Three rescue helicopters were also on duty to provide help as quickly as possible and to transport the injured into surrounding hospitals.
