Tragic accident in Bad Segeberg: 79-year-old dies after Crash!

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Bad Segeberg around 8:45 p.m. A 79-year-old man from Norderstedt lost control of his VW Polo in a curve on Ochsenzoller Straße and got oncoming. A 39-year-old driver from Pinneberg was able to prevent a collision with his Mercedes-Benz by quickly avoiding by moving out to the curb and the sidewalk.

The senior then hit a tree with his vehicle, overturned and stopped on the wheels. Unfortunately, he was taken to the hospital with life -threatening injuries and died a short time later. The VW Polo suffered total damage, which is estimated at around 15,000 euros, while the Mercedes on the bike was only slightly damaged.
