A shocking discovery in the Rhine: On Tuesday morning (May 6th), a walker in Cologne-Langel found the body of an unknown man. The water protection police and the fire brigade were immediately alerted to recover the body. It is currently unclear whether the dead person is the swimmer, who has been missing since May 1st, who went into the water near the dance fountain. Eyewitnesses reported that the 36-year-old wanted to swim from the Deutz side to the other side of the Rhine, but his trace was lost abruptly.
