On May 6, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred at 3:20 p.m. at the Kampstraße / Hagenstraße intersection in Marl, which injured four people. A 24-year-old driver from Schermbeck wanted to turn left when she collided with an oncoming vehicle. The 29-year-old driver and his 28-year-old passenger from Marl suffered serious injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital.
