Accident escape in Alfeld: truck driver leaves traffic lights back!

In Alfeld, two spectacular traffic accidents occurred on April 25, 2025, both of which were shaped by the drivers' escape campaigns. At 11:30 a.m., a Polish truck touched the umbrella of a traffic light while turning into Gudillstrasse, which then fell to the ground. Instead of reporting the incident, the driver put the screen aside and continued his journey. An attentive 40-year-old witness noted the license plate and informed the police, who has now started the investigation into the driver's identity.

But there was excitement in the evening too! Around 10:10 p.m., a 76-year-old Alfeld woman with her Opel Astra caused a parked VW up! An accident in which both exterior mirrors were damaged. She didn't even hear the impact because her radio ran too loud and just continued! A couple who heard the bang reported the license plate, whereupon the police visited the woman. At first she denied the collision, but finally had to recognize that she had caused the collision. The total damage is estimated at around 1,200 euros.
