Suspicious vehicle fire in Geldern-Veer: Police are looking for witnesses!

On the night of Easter Monday, on April 21, 2025, a local resident in Geldern-Veer was observed a burning Dacia that was parked in front of a neighboring house on Martiniplatz. The fire brigade was alerted at 1:35 a.m., which successfully prevented the flames from spreading to the family home. Unfortunately, the Dacia could not be saved and the fire was completely destroyed.

The Kleve police are currently assuming intentional arson and has already commissioned the criminal police to investigate. Witnesses or persons who have made suspicious observations are asked to report on 02821-5040.
