The Saturday evening in Hildesheim brought two spectacular police operations. At 7 p.m., the motorway police stopped when it stopped a car in the city center. The 29-year-old driver from Hessen had exceeded the permissible total weight of 3500 kg by a whopping 29%! Despite his excuses, he could not show the necessary documents for commercial goods transport. The police prohibited the onward journey, and only after five hours the driver was able to continue his trip. An administrative offense procedure is initiated, and both the driver and his employer must expect a sensitive fine.
