Traffic chaos in Essen: explosive accidents keep the police off!

Essen (Old.), Deutschland - On Monday, April 28, 2025, there were several traffic accidents in the region that caused excitement. At around 1:15 p.m., an unknown driver displaced the right of way of a 52-year-old truck driver on Warnstedter Straße. In order to avoid a collision, the truck driver had to make a full braking, causing his cargo to fall on the street. The stranger fled after the incident, which caused damage of around 1,000 euros. The police in Essen asks for clues.

Just a few hours later, around 10:55 a.m., a 36-year-old man caused another incident on Cloppenburger Straße with a garbage. For unknown reasons, he came off the road, touched trees and damaged a guideline. The driver was slightly injured and the damage amounts to around 7,000 euros.

around 3:13 p.m. a 40-year-old had to brake abruptly at a level crossing because she overlooked the red light. A subsequent 60-year-old was no longer able to react in time and drove onto her vehicle, with the train between the two vehicles. Fortunately, both drivers remained unharmed, but the vehicles caused a damage of 20,000 euros. The road was closed until around 4:45 p.m.
