Traffic chaos in St. Georgen: nine injuries after braking!

In St. Georgen, a spectacular traffic accident occurred this morning, in which luckily no one was seriously injured. A 63-year-old Opel driver wanted to drive backwards from a parking lot onto Ludwig-Weisser-Straße at 10:40 a.m. and overlooked an approaching regular bus. The 51-year-old bus driver reacted at lightning speed and stepped onto the brakes, which resulted in a violent braking.

Due to the sudden braking, a total of nine passengers of the bus suffered minor injuries. The emergency services were immediately on site and took care of those affected. One person had to be taken to the hospital for further examination, while a collision was avoided. The incident shows how quickly there can be dangerous situations in road traffic.
