Traffic chaos in Vechta: Two accidents and burglars on the run!

Dinklage, Deutschland - A dangerous accident in Vechta occurred on Friday, May 2, 2025, when a 14-year-old e-scooter driver overlooked a 28-year-old e-bike driver in a parking lot. The collision led to minor injuries from both participants, while only low damage to property occurred on the vehicles.

The following Saturday, May 3, there was a tragic incident: A 26-year-old driver overlooked a 54-year-old motorcyclist from Oldenburg at an intersection. Despite immediate resuscitation measures and the requirement of a rescue helicopter, the woman died at the scene of the accident. The driver was unharmed, while both vehicles suffered a total economic damage. Also on Saturday, a 74-year-old driver and 80 passengers of a moving train suffered injuries in the collision at an unlimited level crossing, but were not injured.

In Dinklage, a total of four burglaries were registered in the night of May 3, in which masked perpetrators stole construction site tools. Witnesses are asked to contact the Vechta police. Another serious incident also occurred on May 3: A 69-year-old driver covered a 24-year-old pedestrian on a bridge that was injured life-threatening.
