Seestraße, 10115 Berlin, Deutschland - A tragic traffic accident shook Seestrasse yesterday when a 67-year-old driver died with a van after the collision. The man with his 70-year-old wife was on the way to leaving the hospital grounds. At around 1:40 p.m. he waited at the stop line before he was introduced to the flowing traffic at the red traffic lights and directly collided with a 28-year-old van coming from the left.

The force of the impact sent the pensioner's car on the left side of the road, where he crashed into a tree. Immediate rescue measures took him to the hospital, where he died later despite attempts to resuscitate. The police are now investigating whether his death is due to the accident injuries or other medical causes. His wife was also taken to the hospital, while the driver of the van was unharmed. The tree on which the vehicles came to a standstill had to be felled for safety reasons.
