On Sunday at 12:40 p.m. there was a dramatic traffic accident at the Mittermaierstraße / Bergheimer Straße crossing: a 68-year-old Audi driver collided with a tram. The woman was on the Mittermaierstraße in the direction of Ernst-Walz-Brücke when the 30-year-old tram driver from Bergheimer Straße came. The collision for the Audi driver ended with minor injuries that brought them to the hospital. The tram driver suffered a shock and also received medical help. Fortunately, the passengers of the tram remained unharmed.
According to the first investigation, the 68-year-old had driven into the crossing area at green. The police in Heidelberg has started the investigation into the exact cause of the accident.| Details | |
