Traffic accident in Neubrandenburg: collide ambulances and cars!

On May 17, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on Demminer Strasse in Neubrandenburg when an ambulance with flashing lights and special signal crashed into a collision with a Dacia. The driver of the Dacia, an 80-year-old, had recognized the siren of the emergency vehicle too late, even though the traffic light was on green for him.

The collision led to injuries both among the driver and his 79-year-old wife as well as the two paramedics aged 40 and 47. All those affected had to be brought to the Neubrandenburg Clinic for treatment. The property damage amounts to around 25,000 euros, and both vehicles had to be towed. In order to enable the accident recording and recovery of the vehicles, the intersection was partially closed. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is still ongoing.
