Traffic accident escape on BAB 8: Witnesses wanted for a collision with motor yacht

An incident on Friday evening on Autobahn 8 near the Stuttgart-Degerloch junction has attracted attention and prompted the community to look for witnesses. A previously unknown driver of a Nissan Qashqai intentionally provoked a traffic accident and then continued his journey without taking care of the consequences.

The 69-year-old driver of a team, consisting of a VW Tiguan with a trailer, was perfidated by the Nissan driver. The Nissan driver abruptly braked before the team, forced the VW driver to dodge and thereby caused an accident. The trailer of the team collided with the center protection plank and overturned, causing property damage of around 22,000 euros. Fortunately, the driver of the VW was only slightly injured, but the incident could have had worse consequences.

The Ludwigsburg traffic inspection now asks all witnesses who can say something about the incident to report immediately. The information could be crucial to identify the responsible driver of the Nissan and to be accountable for his risky behavior. As a community, we show that such ruthless acts are not tolerated and together for safety on our streets.
