On Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, an 8-year-old boy from the area of ​​the Schwerin Zoo was reported missing around 6:00 p.m. Immediate search measures of the Schwerin police head area quickly led to success: the child was discovered safely in Mueßer wood and handed it safely to the concerned parents.

The coordinated search were several patrol cars, a patrol boat from the water protection police, a police helicopter and service dog handler from the State Reading Police Office. Thanks to the rapid reaction of the police, the little boy could be brought home safely.
