A dramatic evening ended with a happy ending! A 9-year-old boy from Munich was missing on Saturday evening after he had disappeared over the balcony during a family vacation in Elgersweier in an unobserved moment. The desperate parents first searched in the vicinity of the apartment, but their search was unsuccessful.

A massive use of the police and fire brigade was mobilized, including a police helicopter, several strips from the Offenburg and Lahr police station as well as rescue dog relays. Finally, redemption came around midnight: an attentive security guard discovered the boy in an industrial site in her pajamas. Fortunately, he could be handed over to his overjoyed parents.
