Attempted robbery in Euskirchen: man came to the ground!

On Thursday morning, April 24, a 57-year-old man was victim to a attempted robbery on the Waudannsstrasse in Euskirchen-Kuchenheim. The man was overtaken by a cyclist and suddenly came to the ground from behind. The attacker then tried to snatch the bag of the man lying on the ground, but this failed. The 57-year-old fought back successfully.

The perpetrator is described as male, about 25 to 30 years old and between 180 and 185 centimeters tall. He had a slim stature and a narrow face, was dressed completely black and wore a hooded hood. He also drove on an older, silver mountain bike that had visible signs of wear. The 57-year-old immediately reported the incident from the Euskirchen police station, which has now started the investigation. Every information could be decisive.
