in Eutin, the night of last Saturday there was an incident that called the local police on the scene. At around 1:30 a.m., a scooter was set on fire in front of an restaurant on Bahnhofstrasse. The perpetrator, previously unknown, placed the scooter directly in front of the bar in front of the bar and lit it after he had previously been expelled from the pub. It is assumed that the man then fled while the fire completely destroyed the vehicle and caused considerable damage to the restaurant's entrance area.

Thanks to a quick intervention by the police officers, the fire could be deleted quickly before it could cause greater damage. The fire brigade then carried out preventive reversal work to ensure that no embers remained. During the event there were some people in the bar, who fortunately could escape unharmed by the rear output.

The investigation start

The criminal police in Eutin has now started the investigation on suspicion of serious arson. One point that is currently also being examined is possible damage to a Mercedes that was parked before the bar. There are indications that the perpetrator may also be responsible for damage to the vehicle tires.

The police have already created a perpetrator profile: it is a man between the ages of 35 and 40 who wears dark, short hair and was dressed in a red T-shirt and dark pants. Witnesses also report on a dark jacket that he either wore or carried with him. It is particularly striking that a woman is said to have spoken to the man with the man shortly before the execution of the crime; She tried to prevent him from committing arson.

The criminal police are now looking for other witnesses who may have observed something suspicious on the night or can give information about the perpetrator.
