Customs reveals 71 kilograms of alleged cath in taxi - procedure initiated!
Weil am Rhein, Deutschland - On March 20, a 29-year-old taxi passenger was caught at a customs check at the customs office at Weil am Rhein-Autobahn-with a shocking amount: 71 kilograms of alleged Khat drug! The customs officers discovered the illegal goods carefully wrapped in paper kitchen towels in the vehicle. Criminal proceedings against the man were immediately initiated for violating the Narcotics Act. After the formalities were completed, it was released again while the Khat was destroyed immediately.
Already in 2024 the main customs office Lörrach had uncovered a similar offense when a traveler was caught with 37 kilograms of khat. In the same year he was imposed a legally binding punitive order with a juicy fine of 6,000 euros. The customs officers remain vigilant - Khat has no place in Germany!
