Customs controls Frankfurter Hotels: Minimum wage and undeclared work in focus!

Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland - On May 8, the financial control of the Zoll (FKS) conducted comprehensive exams in the hotel industry in Frankfurt am Main. The aim of the campaign was to check compliance with social security obligations and the minimum wage as well as to uncover illegal employment, bogus self -employment and fraud.

A total of 98 customs and state police inspected five hotels and surveyed 26 employees about their employment relationships. The measures are part of a targeted offensive against undeclared work, especially in the personnel -intensive area of ​​the hotel industry and gastronomy, where violations are regularly found.
