Customs stops drug courier: 10 kilos of hashish on A7 secured!

On the Bundesautobahn 7, a control unit of the main customs office Kiel made a crucial drug find on May 12, 2025 at the Sielsbrook rest area: around 10 kilograms of hashish worth around 100,000 euros. The suspicion fell on a 32-year-old Afghan, whose vehicle was led from flowing traffic with a Danish license plate. When the survey about his trip and the ones involved, the customs officers not only came across the drugs, but also to a gram of cocaine and cash in the amount of 8,600 Danish crowns - around 1,150 euros.

An investigation against the driver was initiated due to spellbreaks and violations of the Consumer Cannabis Act. The Hamburg customs investigation office takes over the further investigation on behalf of the Kiel public prosecutor. It remains to be noted: the import and drive from cannabis to national borders is still prohibited, regardless of the amount!
