Customs control in Frankfurt: undecided work in taxi industry!

Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland - Frankfurt am Main- On May 13, the financial control of undeclared work (FKS) of the main customs office in Frankfurt am Main carried out a comprehensive review in the taxi and rental car industry. With a team of 35 customs officers, 92 employment relationships were examined in 85 companies around the airport and in Frankfurt. The focus was on compliance with the minimum wage of 12.82 euros per hour and the control of illegal employment.

The controls already showed worrying results on the first day: In 15 cases, the officials found indications of the minimum wage below the minimum wage, while in 30 cases there was suspicion of priority. In addition, 16 suspected cases of performance fraud were recorded. Shocking: Two employees were discovered without a valid residence permit. The investigation of the FKS is still in full swing to ensure that legal requirements are met and the competition remains fair.
