Serious accident on A60: Four injured and hours -long traffic jams in Mainz

Mainz, Deutschland - A serious rear -end collision on the A60 near Mainz caused massive traffic disruptions on Friday afternoon. Three cars were involved in the accident, which passed around 2:20 p.m. while driving towards Bingen. An automatic emergency call system immediately alerted the rescue workers. The highway was completely closed for over 90 minutes, and four inmates between the ages of 21 and 64 were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There is no danger to life, but the situation was dramatic: a BMW drove to a van at high speed, which was then pushed into another vehicle.

The fire brigade was on site with 28 emergency services and five vehicles to disconnect the batteries of the damaged cars and to eliminate leaked liquids. During the full closure, a traffic jam of about five kilometers formed on the highway and the bypass routes. To make matters worse, numerous onlookers build the scene of the accident and thereby also hindered the rescue workers. This behavior was sharply criticized by the fire brigade.
