Borken relieves - 60 new leaf collection containers for autumn!

A festival for the senses - Borken shines in autumn shine! In order to make it easier for citizens to dispose of arcade, the city sets up 60 additional collective containers, which are used by the end of November 2024. This campaign is particularly aimed at the heavily affected areas with numerous trees, such as Bocholter Straße and Kampstrasse. Mayor Mechtild Schulze Hessing explains: "With these collection points, we would like to reduce the effort of the arcade disposal and keep our cityscape in autumn."

The containers that have a capacity of 1,100 liters are emptied every week by the Logermann company. The administration plans to check the effectiveness of this measure in early 2025 and to present the results in the responsible specialist committee. In addition, there are additional dates for green waste acceptance every Saturday until November 16, 2024.
