Discover the magic of plants: flax to linen in the workshop!

summer vacation program stimulates creativity

As part of the summer vacation program in the Kult Westmünsterland in Vreden, the children are facing an exciting experience on Friday, August 2, 2024. The workshop "From flax to linen" offers eight to twelfth-year-old participants the opportunity to discover under guidance how a torn fabric is created from the purple flax plant. This creative participation begins at 10 a.m. and lasts about an hour.

registration required

Participation is free of charge, but a prior registration is required due to the limited number of ten children. Interested parents can contact the Kult Westmünsterland by phone on 02861/681-1415.

gain practical experience

The workshop enables the children to become active themselves and experience the various steps from the plant to the fabric up close. This practical approach not only promotes understanding of textile manufacturing processes, but also strengthens teamwork and creative thinking of the young participants.

The offer in the Kult Westmünsterland is rich and also includes other interesting workshops for children. In view of the great interest, parents should keep an eye on the other dates:

• Tuesday, August 13, 2024, 10 a.m.: secret script (duration: 60 minutes, from 8 years, participation free of charge)
• Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 10 a.m.: The museum detectives (duration: 120 minutes, from 8 years, participation free of charge)
