LWL is investing 48,000 euros in a new audio guide system for Gronau

The Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) has decided to invest more than 48,000 euros in the Rock’n’Popmuseum in Gronau in order to renew the urgently needed audio guide system. This step was announced on Tuesday (October 29) during a meeting of the cultural committee in Recke. After almost six years of intensive use, both the mobile devices and the software are in poor condition, and repairs are no longer profitable.

The battery life of the current devices are so short that visitors have to exchange them during the tour, which significantly affects the experience. "With our subsidy, we want to contribute to the fact that the guests in this unique museum, which is unique in Europe, can continue to enjoy the full visit experience," said Dr. Barbara Rüschoff-Parzinger, LWL culture head. The audio guide system was specially developed for the requirements of the museum and offers individual tours with personal highlights by a sound corridor who accompanies visitors during their tour.
