In an emotional session of the district council, Irmgard Paßerchroer, who has acted as an equal opportunities officer for 18 years, was made by District Administrator Dr. Kai Zwicker said goodbye. Paßerchroer, who started service in the district of Borken in 1986 and worked in the youth welfare office, is now in well -deserved retirement. It was significantly involved in promoting the compatibility of family and work and increasing the proportion of women in management positions. Their commitment has significantly improved the attractiveness of the district as an employer for women.
Paßerschroer is particularly well known for the annual events e.g. B. for international women's day and the successful series “Woman and Profession” that she started. Her successor becomes Jutta Grave-Möllmann, who has been working in the district administration since 1985. Paßerschroer's commitment is considered crucial to advance the challenges of equality in the district of Borken and to strengthen the fight against domestic violence through initiatives such as the "round table against domestic violence".
