A significant reinforcement recently received the police authorities in Gladbeck, Bottrop and Gelsenkirchen. A total of almost 140 new police officers start their career in the region. This represents an important step in strengthening security and increasing police presence.
The new colleagues have started their career in Gelsenkirchen, where 42 officials run their service. These officials are used primarily in the areas of general police work and in criminal police investigation units. Much of the new additions have recently completed their training and has fresh knowledge and innovative approaches. In addition, some experienced colleagues from other authorities have also found their way to Gelsenkirchen.
reinforcement for Recklinghausen
in the Recklinghausen police headquarters, which is responsible for the cities of Gladbeck and Bottrop, an even larger number of 96 new civil servants were hired. These growth are a clear indicator of the need to increase the police presence in the region and to be able to better counter the challenges of modern crime.
A total of around 850 people now work at the Gelsenkirchen police headquarters. The integration of the new forces is an essential step to promote safety in the affected cities and at the same time keep the back to the existing civil servants. This measure could have a positive effect on the reaction time in emergencies and the general security perception of the citizens.
A particularly interesting aspect of the new personnel policy is the new way to the police in North Rhine-Westphalia that has been introduced since 2022. This enables the "ABICHAUTION police" to acquire the "Fachabitur Police" with an average educational qualification or the authorization to the upper level of high school at specific vocational colleges. This intersecting course is two years with specific content on the police service. The robust training ensures that the new police officers are not only well prepared, but also develop practical skills.
After successfully completing the specialist school, the transition to a dual degree at the University of Police and Public Administration is no longer in the way of the transition, provided that the civil service law requirements are met. This access seems to be an effective means to inspire young people for the police service and at the same time meet the requirements of modern society.
The reinforcement of the police authorities by new graduates is not only a profit for the organizations themselves, but will also have a positive effect on public security and the trust of the population into the police. With fresh perspectives and the latest training or technology, the new civil servants are ready to face the challenges that the everyday police life brings.
